Connect1d Canada is a national research initiative focused on understanding and improving the experiences of people living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). The platform connects individuals with researchers conducting studies on diabetes care, technology, access, and quality of life. People living with T1D, caregivers, and community members can sign up to learn about and participate in research opportunities, surveys, and studies that match their interests.

The Type 1 BETTER Registry is a Canadian research platform that brings together people living with T1D to help researchers better understand diabetes management, technology use, barriers to care, and health outcomes. The registry supports studies aimed at improving care and developing more equitable diabetes solutions. Individuals with T1D can join the registry by completing questionnaires and consenting to be contacted about future research studies, including surveys, interviews, and clinical research opportunities.

Diabetes Action Canada is a national research network that brings together researchers, healthcare providers, people living with diabetes, and community partners to improve diabetes prevention, treatment, and care. The network supports patient-oriented research that addresses real-world challenges faced by people with diabetes. People with diabetes and caregivers can participate as patient partners, join advisory groups, contribute to research projects, and share their experiences to help shape diabetes research priorities.

ClinicalTrials.gov is a searchable database of clinical research studies from around the world. It provides information about ongoing and completed studies, including research involving diabetes treatments, technologies, medications, and healthcare approaches.
Individuals can search for diabetes-related studies by location, eligibility criteria, and study type to find opportunities to participate in clinical trials.

Breakthrough T1D Canada is a leading Type 1 Diabetes organization that supports research, advocacy, and community programs aimed at improving the lives of people living with T1D and accelerating progress toward cures. The organization helps fund innovative research and connects the T1D community with opportunities to contribute to research efforts. Community members can find resources to participate in research studies, advocacy initiatives, fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and opportunities to share their lived experiences with researchers and policymakers.
