Our patient advisory council includes

Individuals with lived experience of type 1 diabetes

Self-identify with a socially disadvantaged community (e.g. a racial or ethnic minority, immigrant, low socio-economic status, or residing in a rural community)
This council gives us important advice at every step of our project. They make sure our research always focuses on patients. Their guidance helps us address the special needs of people from historically socially disadvantaged communities with type 1 diabetes. Their ideas help us reach our goal of making sure everyone who wants to can access diabetes technologies.
